Your accommodation:

We have a variety of accommodation options at our disposal. Guests are accommodated in ensuite and twin rooms within the main house, or 6 more bedrooms split between our two gites: The Cottage and The Medieval House. Wireless internet service throughout, coffee and tea stations, terraces and conservatories for relaxation.

About the local area:

The Lot-Dordogne Region:
Your lasting impression will be one of colour, blue sky, red tile roofs, honey coloured centuries-old stone buildings, bathed in the glow of golden southern sunlight - paintings are present everywhere. Artists often begin the day with a short 20 minute 'walk around the block' past fields dotted with sheep and forests of oak and stone built shepherd huts - watch for sheep being moved along the road!
There are cave paintings at Cougnac and Pech Merle, both within 20km. Here you can see the original painting studios of our ancestors from 14,000 years ago. We visit the famous cliff village of Rocamadour, a mediaeval pilgrimage destination, the town of Sarlat with its fairy tale melange of architectural styles, and the grandeur of Cahors. Our knowledge of the area leads you to settings perfect for sketching and painting; you can even enjoy a picnic beside the Lot river or nearby lake.

How to Get Here:

By train from Paris we're just over five hours from Gare Austerlitz. There is a train in the early morning and mid-afternoon. Your stop is Gourdon, where we can arrange to have you picked up, or help with car rental.
If you fly to Toulouse, we are one hour north by train. The airport bus, located at the terminal entrance, costs 6 euros (pay on the bus) and takes about 15 minutes to the centre of Toulouse and the railway station.
By car from Toulouse we're about one and half hours drive.
