SCULPTURE WORKSHOPThe content of each session will depend on the needs and interests of the participants. In each art worshop, sculptors will choose their favorite materials:it can be clay, soft wood, or hard stone.MIXED MEDIA ART CLASSES - drawing, painting, sculpting, stained classesThis class is designed to provide each student the opportunity in two weeks to try different way of expressing himself.Creating with different materials is a way to know and understand your own abilities and discover hidden talents; every day is a new day in this unique workshop! it can be painting the ambience of italy and the small traditional villages high on the hills, sculpting an italian model..ADDITIONAL STUDIES can be added depending on the interest of the students.- woodcarving art workshops- anatomy studying in 3-dimensions- clay figures and live models- life drawing classes

Our workshops are designed for both beginners and advanced sculptors.
Villa d'arte offers an artists' residency program designed to encourage the creative, intellectual and personal growth of emerging and established visual artists. While in residence, all artists will share in an established community of interaction, conceptual development and intense production of work. This Artists' Residency Program is designed to foster creative, intellectual and personal growth for emerging and established visual artists.  There are no specific educational qualifications for entry into the program.  While in residence, artists will be encouraged to pursue their own work . The residency is designed to allow artists to take risks and pursue new projects and ideas, free from every day pressures.  The residency is for those artists desiring to advance their work or creating a new body of work. Residents are encouraged to pursue a multidisciplinary approach toward their work. Resident artists will be provided with cute apartments with kitchen, terrace with panoramic seaview, studio space, & meals.  While in residence, there is an optional structure of critical study such as studio visits, visiting artists and critics, etc.

Nicole Durand (Italian) is the founder of accademia d'arte since 2005; she has been teaching for 20 years in the Menton shool of fine arts on the Cote d'Azur, in Lugano (Switzerland) and Yorbalinda (California) She now lives and creates in her studio in Villa d'Arte (Italy.) She is involved in humanitarian work and is considered as a Peace artist. She is a member of the association of children's right, involved in their activities, especially fundrising events

Inclusive of: materials, use of work tools, shared accommodation, tutors, recreational area and kitchen. Exclusive of: travel, food, packing and forwarding of completed work (if necessary). Extra week and special rates are available for long term stay - please enquire.
Each apartment has a seaview with its own kitchenette, internet access and laundry facilities.

It is also the land that the great art masters chose to live in for the special light such as Monnet, Picasso, Renoir, Chagall. In the village, we have an italian chef and she can prepare and deliver italian meals at your convenience. You can also share your meals with other artists - there are lots of pizzeria around and wonderful seafood .
