The techniques will be taught in suitable individual steps in the student´s own preferred medium. Learn to see:
Switch off your thoughts and trust the perception of your eyes. Suddenly you will explore lines, formes and nuances of colours, which you haven´t seen before and follow your own inspiration. We will work either in the Workshop Studio or in special choosen places around our beautiful area. Apart from the course time you are free to work in the workshop to intensive on your art study, to develop work with your favorite medium or to experiment about other painting techniques.
It is easy to make friends on the course as the workshops are organized in small groups with a comfortable, easy going atmosphere. The courses are also perfect for those, who come with their partner or familiy and wish a more individually holiday time after the painting hours. You will also have the possibility of creating your own individual holiday either by exploring the fabulous countryside or by relaxing around the pool in your own holiday home.
Christa had always been engaged in human social problems and art, and very often combined both interests, like leading a project of "art and therapy" for problematic kids in Andalucia and Tenerife.
The WATERCOLOUR - COURSES are given by Albert Meagle, born in Dublin, Ireland. Albert is a skillfull painter in watercolour and pencil drawing. He is largely a self-taught artist with ecxellent abilities of giving demonstration and teaching students.
Christa and Albert love specially to paint outdoors and they do it all year round. So whenever possible they do most part of the courses outside in the beautiful nature. Every participant receives as much sensitive instruction and help as desired to move towards the exciting way finding their own creative expression.

We offer several possibilities for accommodation on our Finca Maroma or in the village of Competa (walking distance between our Finca and Competa): STUDIO MAROMA: 1 - 2 people, with pool, 200 Euros/week, no additional costs. APPARTEMENT BUENA VISTA: 1 - 3 people, with pool, 320 Euros/week + 35 Euros final cleaning. CASA AZAHARA: 1 - 4 people, with pool, 370 Euros/week + 35 Euros final cleaning. CASA LA VINA: 1 - 4 people, with pool, 490 Euros/week + 60 Euros final cleaning. CASA MEDINA: typical townhouse in Competa with internal patio and large roofterrace: 1 - 3 people, 270 Euros/week + 40 Euros final cleaning. Cómpeta is one of the famous white villages, steeped in Moorish history and culture. It is a very lively village with many Bars and Restaurants but still very authentic and charmful. It´s location high in the Sierra Almijara affords it the most stunning scenery, with views from the mountains down to the sea, and on a clear day across the Mediterranean to the distant shores of Morocco. The warmth and friendliness of the people still remains an invitation to stay here. The village is surrounded by green terraces of almonds, vines, olives and avocados and limited above by the pine forests of the Almijara Tejeda National Park. From our Finca Maroma you look down a wide, green valley, across the white washed villages, south to the Mediterranean sea. Behind the Finca you are surrounded by mountains, dominated by the impressive peak of the Maroma (2065 m).How to Get Here:
