Course Structure
Slikamilina Painting Tours offers a 10 day painting holiday on the island of Korcula, Croatia, in the Adriatic Sea. This all inclusive trip (except air fare from home country) will be led by Lynda Milina and accompanied by a painting tutor. Our visiting tutors are all accomplished artists who have exhibited and have many years experience. From beginner to experienced artists and non-painting partners, all are welcome.

Itinerary Overview:

Day 1: Arrive in Dubrovnik, transfer to the island of Korcula and Lumbarda.
Day 2 – 8:

At the "Lorvic", breakfast will be served daily, before travelling to different parts of the island. On the holiday you will see vistas rich in vineyards, quiet coves, small beaches, flourishing olive trees and quaint architecture. This part of Croatia is unique in its beauty, encouraging one to take pleasure in painting and sketching.

Your tour includes scenic areas such as Racisce, Korcula, Badija, Blato, Smokvica, Lumbarda, Orebic & Peljesac Peninsula. After enjoying a packed lunch, our artist instructor will critique your morning's work - this will provide some food for thought as you continue into the afternoon.

At the end of the day we will return to the "Lorvic" for our evening meal. After dinner you are encouraged to spend time exploring the area or enjoying the wine with your fellow artists, relaxing before your next day of painting.

Day 9: After an early breskfast, you will travel back to Dubrovnik where lunch will be served in Old Dubrovnik followed by a tour of the old city. Later in the afternoon you will be taken to Jakanov Dvor Accomodations & Restaurant located near the airport where you are free to relax before dinner.
Day 10: After breakfast, you will be shuttled to the airport for your return / onward flight.

Painters: $1,900 CAD (1,339 euros, £883, $1,689USD)
Non painters:

$1,700 (1,198 euros, £790, $1,511USD)

Included: Transportation to/from Dubrovnik airport, transportation to/from daily excursions, all meals, accommodation and instruction

Items not included: Travel to Dubrovnik, Croatia, from home country, any airport arrival/departure tax, travel and/or medical insurance, materials and equipment, gratuities, any other cost incurred outside the workshop itinerary. Please read all general information and conditions

Tutors & Tour Leader
Slikamilina is an Ottawa based business owned and operated by Lynda Milina. Lynda is a Croatian, South African Canadian (!) who whilst growing up in Ontario, Canada, spent every second summer with her family in Lumbarda, Croatia. Always creative, Lynda has participated in volunteer projects for the Arts, Craft shows and most recently photography. Lynda hopes you will join her in getting to know the Island of Korcula, and preserving it in paintings to showcase in your own home.

Jinny Slyfield
An Ottawa artist, Jinny brings to her painting impressions of the brilliant colours and textures of the many countries visited on her voyages to the “far dominions”. She uses oils, acrylics, watercolour, collage, and her vivid imagination to create vibrant interpretations of her world. Jinny teaches drawings and portraits at the Orleans Visual Arts Centre, at the Continuing Ed'. Programme, Ottawa Board, and at private facilites in Ottawa.

Jo Hall
Born in London, Jo cannot remember life without drawing or without the excitement of living near the Thames. In 1990, Jo decided to pursue the creative side of her life more fully, and through the advice and encouragement of Berkshire Art School, was accepted as a member of the Association of Illustrators. Commissions from advertising, magazines and corporate private clients followed. Jo is also involved with the Society of Graphic Fine Art, a national Society in the UK dedicated to the promotion of fine art drawing skills.
Yohanna Loonen
With her easrly years being spent in Holland, Yohanna then moved to Canada. She has been teaching Drawing and painting since 1990 with the Ottawa Board of Education as well as giving private lessons. She has solo exhibitions in Ottawa as well as participating in regular group exhibitions.
Doug Cosbie
A respected painter, heraldic and graphic design artist and educator, Crosbie’s work may be found in numerous public and private collections. He has participated in many solo and group exhibitions and his contemporary landscapes and portraiture are highly sought after by collectors of fine art.

Location
The island or Korcula is rich in vineyards and olive trees, and its southern coast is dotted with quiet coves and small beaches. This part of Croatia is unique in its beauty and is perfect for the both the beginner and the accomplished to enjoy the pleasures of sketching, painting and photography.

How to Get to Us
Depending on the time of year, there are two ways to get to Korcula from Dubrovnik which will be decided upon by the organiser. It will either be by boat (in which case we meet at the dock area) or by road & then ferry (we meet at the airport).
