Course Overview
These courses are designed for both beginners and more experienced painters. Lewis Noble and Vince Tutton each offer a different programme dealing with the many varied ways of making paintings in the landscape. There is a magical atmosphere at En Olivier - the panoramic views of the rolling landscape surround this 17th century farmhouse with the Pyrenees and Montaigne Noir mountains in the distance, these views do not fail to inspire.
We have a number of courses planned for 2009:
Painting with Arthur Neal - June 7th to 15th 2010
Paint under the guidance of ARTHUR NEAL N.E.A.C.
Painting with Arthur Neal will give you the advantage of seeing how a professional artist approaches their work. You will have the time to discuss and experiment with the many different aspects of painting and drawing with guidance from Arthur. Working with Arthur is an inspiring experience.
"...I really enjoyed myself with you and felt that I came back with lots of food for thought and painting. Many thanks again for a week that was excellent in every way."

Painting with Tony Rothon- June 28th to July 6th 2010
Tony Rothon is a very popular, sensitive and experienced teacher and painter.
"The attitude which I teach follows my own practice. I try to make a distinction
between painting from life/landscape as a copying activity, and painting as the challenging business of making sensible painted equivalents for the world. "Same thing, aren't they?" people say, and I say that they are not. The canvas is flat, the world 3-dimensional. This essential difference brings into play the use of 'language' in the attempt to bridge between the two..."
He has had 4 one-person exhibitions since 2002 at Jonathan Ross's Gallery 286, London
and in group exhibitions including: RA Summer Exhibition, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, "The Discerning Eye
