Valentina Harris is a renowned authority on Italian food and culture. Author of many books on Italian food including “Risotto! RValentina Harrisisotto!” and “Valentina’s Four Seasons” Valentina has already successfully run courses in Sicily and France. It is intended that Borgo di Colleoli becomes her Tuscan base.

Valentina's numerous television appearances, journalism, cookery demonstrations, lectures and books have made her a much loved cookery personality both in the United Kingdom and further afield. With a career spanning over 20 years, Valentina is never happier than when hosting what she calls her "culinary adventures" and we hope that you can join her in Tuscany.

Valentina will be running a weekend break cookery course at the Borgo from Friday 7th March to Monday 10th March. Priced at £780 per cook and £200 for non-cook partners, the course includes lessons in the Palazzo’s extensive and well equipped kitchens, accommodation, wine tasting and all meals.

Accommodation & Location
In the beautiful Tuscan countryside between Florence and Pisa and surrounded by ancient olive groves lies the Borgo di Colleoli. Formerly a working manor, purchased in 1494 by the aristocratic Agostini family, the 23-acre estate has now been restored to its former glory as an exclusive Palazzo hotel and traditional apartments.

The Palazzo offers 12 individually styled, luxurious studio and one-bedroom suites, beautifully decorated with stylish bathrooms. Pictures of the Borgo can be found on our picture gallery.

Each room includes:

  • wide screen satellite TV and DVD
  • tea and coffee facilities
  • two mini-fridges stocked with essentials
  • CD player with discs
  • alarm clock
  • hair dryer
  • Bulgari toiletries

The Borgo di Colleoli offers over 23 acres of the estate to explore. Tucked away at either end of the estate are two large and impressive swimming pools, one heated and the other with an adjacent children’s pool. The pools are surrounded with plenty of sun loungers and pool towels are provided. The Enoteca wine bar is available during the day providing a café-style Italian menu while the I Seccoli restaurant offers outstanding classical Tuscan food and an extensive range of Italian wines.

Throughout your visit, our concierge will be available to assist with all your travel plans, offer advice on the best local restaurants and day trips and provide any guidance that you require.

Wireless internet access is available in the library of the Palazzo. A gymnasium is planned for late 2008.

The Borgo offers, either on site or nearby and range of leisure opportunities for: horse riding, golf, shopping, tennis & bike hire.

For those in search of an authentic Tuscan experience, Borgo di Colleoli certainly doesn't disappoint.

How to Get to Us
The Borgo di Colleoli can be reached from a variety of airports although Pisa is the most accessible and is just 30 minutes away.
