Course Overview
Our course is specifically designed to combine the art of digital photography with a relaxing holiday in the heart of the Limousin region of France. It is aimed at both beginner and advanced levels and is specifically designed for you to get the most out of your camera whilst producing stunning prints. For more detail on our courses please refer to our own web site which is linked from the bottom of this page.

You will learn about lighting, perspective, choosing the subject, digital image storage, outputting to print and manipulation of the image. Your holiday begins with a relaxed lunch and drinks, to talk about the week ahead. This will ensure that we can meet your expectations; and it also provides you with the opportunity to meet everyone else.

The course will be held at different locations, i.e. historical towns, water features and gardens. Each day you will be chauffeured to the shoot location and returned to your accommodation at "La Plantade". There is a maximum of six people per course and Paul, a professional photographer, will be with you to provide one to one tuition, allowing you plenty of time to ask questions and develop your skills.

You will discover a wealth of subjects to inspire you from thundering water cascades, medieval villages, to the smallest plant. You can even follow in the footsteps of Richard the Lionheart.

The light is fantastic in France, and was the inspiration for the great impressionists. The atmosphere is quiet, unrushed and friendly. Discover the best that France has to offer in this lush, green rolling landscape. This is why the Limousin is referred to as the English Lake District.

Lunch is provided each day on the shoot locations. In the evening sit down for a relaxing dinner and drinks.

Location
The Limousin region is renowned for its stunning scenery of lush green fields, where the Limousin cattle graze, with regional parks, chateaux, lakes, markets, potteries, caves, golf courses and pretty hill top towns.

The Limousin makes a wonderful holiday destination for those seeking space, peace and tranquillity, with plenty of added attractions and excellent food. This is one of the least populated areas of France and the Corrèzian people are the friendliest in the country.

The Limousin has been likened to the English Lake District due to its number of natural lakes and water ways. Many of the larger lakes offer water sport facilities and have man made beaches of soft white sand, making them an ideal place to spend the day reading, sunbathing or swimming. The surrounding woodlands are excellent to explore, many with rambling trails, which provide many photographic inspirations.

There are many wonderful villages and cities to explore in this region with stunning architecture, cathedrals and churches, excellent restaurants, and during the summer months a wealth of art exhibitions and markets. Many are situated high on hill tops, offering magnificent views across the countryside.

Limoges, the capital for the Limousin, is a fascinating historic city, famous for its fine porcelain and enamels, with ancient buildings, quaint streets, smart shops, squares to sit and relax with a drink and food, old market, museums, gardens, galleries and porcelain museums, where you can learn more about this famous pottery
