French carp fishing lake and Lodge near Limoges, France

Lodge Lakes is a stunning tree lined, totally secluded and private 4 acre exclusive hire fishing lake, with a lakeside lodge that comfortably sleeps six people.

Upon arrival, we will start your carp fishing holiday with a welcome drink on the terrace overlooking the lake and surrounding countryside, then take you on a stroll around the lake where we will share carp fishing tactics from each of the 10 swims that have been specifically designed and made to suit you, the carp angler.

The lake at Lodge Lakes is over 44 years old and well established. Originally built as a fish farm, it is stream fed from an inlet with a depth of approximately two to three feet of water down to twelve feet at the dam end.

There are 10 custom made swims to choose from which do not detract from the natural beauty of the lake itself and its stunning surroundings. But they give you access to fish the whole lake.

The lake has approximately 350-400 fish. There are 5 large Catfish ranging from 30lb+ - 60lb+ and 10 small Cats for now! Put them in in Nov 09 now Aug 2010 up to 12lb. 4 Sturgeon ranging from 24lb – 31lb+. The rest are carp (Mirrors, Commons, Grasses and Koi) ranging from 10lb – 45lb.

Lodge Lakes is a private fishery so no fishing licence is required.

Prices listed below are per party and includes a weeks fishing on the lake with self-catering accommodation in the Lodge. The lake is exclusive to you throughout your stay.

There is a nice day out at St Pardoux, a 750acre lake that has man made beaches, watersports, and walks. 20Mins drive.

Other days out can include:

Futuroscope, theme park, extreme thrills, images in giant-screen format, shows, interactive adventures. 1 ½ hrs drive.
Horse trekking, all ages from 4yrs+, all abilities. 5Mins walk.
Open air swimming pool with water slides. 20Mins drive. Summer only.
Shopping in the city of Limoges. 30Mins drive.

Lodge Lakes is located in the Haute-Vienne department within the Limousin region of France. The two most popular ways of reaching us is either by car/ferry, or plane.

If you choose to drive to Lodge lakes, then you can cross the channel via Eurotunnel or one of the many ferry companies: Speedferries, P&O, Stena Brittany Ferries, Sea France, LD lines, Condor Ferries, and Irish Ferries.

Flybe and Ryanair both fly into nearby Limoges airport which is 30 minutes drive away from us. Ryanair offer flights from Stansted, Luton, Bristol, Bournemouth, Liverpool, East Midlands or Edinburgh. Flybe offer flights from Southampton, and Newcastle.

We provide a complementary pick up and drop off service to and from the airport or there are car hire companies at the airport.
