Your accommodation:
There are a variety of accommodation options both in Villegailhenc and close by depending on what you are looking for. We can arrange accommodation in a carefully chosen family home, or recommend gîtes and chambres d'hôtes accommodation to you. There is even one gîte a mere 200 metres from the language school if you'd like to be on the doorstep.
If you'd like to be in the hub of things there are many options to choose from in the centre of Carcassonne.
About the local area:
Villegailhenc is located 15 minutes north of Carcassonne centre.
Carcassonne is divided into the fortified Cité de Carcassonne and the more expansive lower city, the ville basse. Carcassone was founded by the Visigoths in the fifth century, though the Romans had fortified the settlement earlier. The fortress, which was thoroughly restored in 1853 by the theorist and architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997.
How to Get Here:
We are well serviced by a variety of transport links. For our international visitors the closest airports are Carcassonne, Beziers and Toulouse. Alternatively the high speed rail line (TGV) passes through Carcassonne and the main east to west autoroute passes just south of Carcassonne.
