We try to offer something special and different and everything we do we try to be just that bit better than the rest. The boat is well equipped and nicely finished. We pride ourselves on providing hearty meals made from the freshest food available in local markets. A mix of international and local cuisine is prepared for you and you will not need to cook your own meals. There is a vast amount of experience for you to tap not just to learn about sailing put to guide, help and provide an insight into Asia and what it has to offer.
Meniscus of Gweek, a Bruce Roberts 45, will be your home on your Luxury Yacht Charter, Sailing Holidays, or Sailing Course. She is a very comfortable vessel for sailing vacations and yacht charter. Currently cruising in SE Asia with destiantions in Langkawi Malaysia, Phuket Thailand and Myanmar Burma. Meniscus means the smallest crescent of the moon and Gweek is a village at the top of the beautiful Helford River in Cornwall where she was fitted out.
Mark Holroyd - Mark has had a passion for the sea since his first experience of sailing, aged 5, in his fathers gaff-rigged fishing boat. Later he sailed dinghies and wind-surfers and became a keen diver. In 1985 he started sailing yachts and cruised and raced his 34’ UFO extensively. He has raced in the Fastnet, the Arc, at Cork, Cowes, BVI and Antigua and completed many ocean passages logging over 200,000 miles.
* all meals taken on board Meniscus (full board is available unless you choose to eat ashore). General sailing instruction and involvement in the day to day sailing and other activities aboard Meniscus.
* RYA practical courses and certificates as appropriate (if requested).
* Use of snorkeling and fishing equipment. (Divers need to be qualified and arrange their own insurance.)
* Use of bed linen and towels (but please bring a beach towel).
* Use of wet weather clothing if required.
* Use of safety equipment as appropriate.
Meniscus is equipped to MCA requirements for category "2"
Bruce Roberts yachts are designed and proven to be robust blue water cruisers able to provide a good general level of performance as well as being capable of withstanding heavy conditions should the need arise. She has proved herself to be a good all round boat capable of making good passage times and sailing through several storms.
More specific details on application but the main hubs are Bangkok, KL and Singapore and flights to Phuket and Langkawi are daily.

Learn to Sail Holidays
If you want to learn to sail then make it a Learn to Sail Holiday. Our Five Star 7 day courses are specially designed to be more luxurious than your normal course aiming to teach you in style with less pressure - because of this we have a very high pass rate. We can teach groups at all levels and its a great way for the family to learn together. There is even time to relax and enjoy a holiday too. "Yacht Voyages" is an RYA Recognised Sailing School which has been teaching people to sail since 1993. The Sailing Instruction by Mark Holroyd is the best available. He is is one of the most highly qualified instructors and benefits from his many sea miles and vast experience around the world in all types of vessel and conditions. |

Your accommodation:
Meniscus has 8 berths in 4 cabins outside the saloon, 2 heads, one fitted with shower. About the local area:
Asia has some of the best cruising grounds in the world and the area from Langkawi to Phuket and up to Myanmar is certainly almost impossible to beat given that it is so accessible.
