With such a range or environments, Spain offers something of a paradise for those looking for a walking holiday. It offers such a diversity of country side from the Pyrenean mountain range in the North, whilst the Sierra Nevada and Sierra Morena dominate Spains landscape in the south - the highest peak is on Mount Mulhacen at a little under 3,500 metres. These are the extremes though and Spain with a total land area or around 505,000 square kilometres (which makes it the 50th largest country in the world) offers a wide mix of walking areas and hence has wide appeal. Although it can be colder inland in winter it also offers a temperate climate nearer the coast with hot summers and pleasant winters.
So if you fancy getting away from it all for a bit, consider taking your walking holiday in Spain this year!
