Where? Based on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada in the spa town of Lanjaron, the gateway to the Alpujarra we are 25km south of Granada. Within an hour are the coastal ranges of the Mediterranean, limestone peaks in the Sierra de Huetor and wooded gorges of the Sierra Tejeda.
When? The region is renowned for its year round sun (but it can rain in winter) so anytime of the year is ideal.
Who? We cater for all from individuals wanting a half day walk to parties wanting week long holidays.
For clients who want to be in the ''campo'' La Casa del Viento offers self catering or full board in individual casitas in a wonderful setting a short distance above the village from 55E per night for two.

Mountain Accommodation
Whilst in the mountains we make use of the Poqueira Mountain refuge on the southern slopes of Mulhacen and an ideal base for exploring the higher 3,000m+ mountains. The refuge provides basic mixed dorms and facilities with bunk, breakfast and evening meal from 40E per night..

About the local area:
The Sierra Nevada itself is effectively a 100km long escarpment running east from Granada. The steeper north side of the range holds some dramatic corries and steep rock ridges whilst more gentle southern slopes, divided by deep lusher river valleys, lead down to the Alpujarra, an area of white villages and olive groves. The highest point in the range is Mulhacen which at 3,482 m also claims the title of being the highest point in mainland Spain. This summit lies only 35km north from the Mediterranean coast a fact which, combined with the overall height of the range creates one of the rarest and most fragile mountain habitats in Europe. The proximity of the coast also means that you can walk the high peaks in the morning and swim in the Mediterranean in the evening.How to Get Here:
